2 Dance Types
At this Festival, you will primarily focus on two dances: Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. The dance instructors may also incorporate elements from other dance styles to enhance your learning experience.
Each course will run for one hour and thirty minutes, and a 15-minute break after each session for participants to move to another location if necessary.
Lindy Hop
Dance that originated in Harlem's African American communities in the late 1920s. Its energetic nature and cultural importance have inspired global celebrations, bringing people together through music and movement.
Solo Jazz
Dance style rooted in early 20th-century African American communities.
Characterized by lively footwork, improvisation, this dance form offers a sense of liberation and fosters connection among individuals.

You know moves like Swing out and Tuck Turn, you’re aiming to solidify your fundamentals and boost your confidence for social dancing
Advanced
3-4 years of practice
You learned the basics and footwork of lindy hop, regularly attending classes, parties, and international workshops. Your goal is to enhance technique, add style, and personalize your dancing
Inter/advanced
1-3 years of practice
You grasp the swing basics variations at different tempos while starting to improvise to music. You want to deepen your movement knowledge and musicality in social dance, and strengthen your technique
Advanced+
Minimum 4 years of practice
You adapt to any dance tempos, enjoy international festivals, may teach swing locally and compete. You’re seeking challenges to enhance your musicality and technique
